Chief Justice John Marshall

On January 20, 1801, President Adams nominated John Marshall to be Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court. On January 27, 1801, the Senate confirmed his nomination. He served on the Supreme Court for 34 years. His judicial opinions, undeniably, impacted the way we view our legal system.
